We have a comprehensive understanding of the oldest technology that still represents a large chunk of the process spectrum. It’s still the trusted work horse for designers and mechanical professionals. At P/E, we’ve been cutting metal and plastics into the highest precision components for longer than anything else. Whether the need is for crude aluminum fixtures or precision instruments for medical applications with exotic material requirements, we’re a partner that has the capability. Interested in specific capabilities? Wire EDM? Yes. Tight tolerances? Challenge accepted. Post processing and finishing? Got it covered. Drop us an email. We’ll reply fast. It’s what we do.
Selective Laser Sintering offers a no limits approach to building as there is no support material required. It uses powdered nylon as the medium to melt (sinter) the material together layer by layer. As a result, as-printed parts will have a grainy surface finish and can be porous to liquids. There are numerous post processes available to remedy this such as dying, infiltrating, sanding, painting, plating, EMI shield, etc. Materials are all nylon based but additives are available such as glass, carbon, and aluminum.
Fused Deposition Modeling is the easiest process to describe to the laymen. It’s like a little glue gun. Most robust material options, largest build tray (please inquire about dimensions). Great for housings, strength components, high heat applications, etc. 9 material options including thermoplastics, static dissipation, and resistant to chemicals and weathered applications.
Still the process that manufactures 95% of the world’s parts. We offer complete start to finish tooling and engineering to create the volume required for your short and long term applications. We offer a multitude of tooling options, materials, and finishes to best suit your need. Rest assured that this rather technical process is in good hands with our experienced mold makers, engineers, and polymer experts.
Stereolithgraphy is the grandfather of what we now call Additive Manufacturing and has stayed valid for numerous applications. SLA is the quickest process we offer as we can turn parts in 24 hours in some cases and 2-3 days standard. Materials are ABS, PP, PC like resins found in black, natural or white, and cloudy to polished optically clear. With layer thickness available as small as .002” (0.05mm), you the smoothest as printed finish available and will most easily sand even smoother. Paintable and machinable SLA is great for fit checks, initial design builds, trade show pieces but don’t leave them in a hot car all day. Trust us.
There are numerous ways to manipulate sheet metal to desired design and function. We work with most all of them and in any material we can source. Laser cutting, water jet, EDM, bending, stamping, punching, gusseting, and welding are all within our wheel house.
The bridge between high and low volume and one of the oldest processes around. Soft tooling is great for low volume runs of 20-100 parts without the cost of metal molds. Also known as Cast Urethanes, plastic parts created with this process will mimic an injection mold tool but without the cost of metal molds. Another benefit is that very large parts can be produced in the most cost effective fashion while still maintaining design accuracy and precision.
Precision Expedited offers a distinct difference in how we help streamline part production within the hard goods industry. Our staff of engineers strive for optimization from the onset of a project. We’ve helped many companies save time, energy and redundancy by walking through phase production before scaling up for volume and distribution. Let’s get what you need aligned for manufacturing success.
