Choose the material.

Then send the job.

Material drives CNC machining cost, lead time and what tolerances are realistic. Pick for the job first, then tell us what matters most. Here are the materials we machine most, and what a quote needs from you.

How we match material

We route each part to the shop in our vetted network best equipped for that material, so you get one quote and one point of contact. Your project manager confirms the grade fits the part before the quote goes out.

What to send

Everything a CNC quote needs.

STEP file + print
Model for geometry. Print for tolerances.
Material + finish
Grade, temper, anodize, plating.
Quantity + timing
Prototype run, volume, deadline.
Critical features
What controls fit + function.
Documentation
Material certs, inspection, ITAR requirements.

Missing something?

Send what you have. We’ll ask for the rest. One project manager owns the job from RFQ to delivery, so material and finish questions get settled before the quote goes out.

CNC materials questions

6061 is the default for prototypes and housings. It machines cleanly, anodizes well and costs less. Move to 7075 when the part needs higher strength, as in structural brackets or high-load fittings.

303 machines fastest, 304 is the general-purpose grade, and 316 holds up best in chlorides and marine service. Choose 17-4 PH when the part needs to be heat treated for strength + wear.

Ask. These are the grades we machine most, and the network covers far more. Your project manager confirms the grade fits the part before the quote goes out.

A STEP file and a print, the material grade and finish, quantity and timing, the features that control fit + function, and any certification, inspection or ITAR requirements. Send what you have and we’ll ask for the rest.

What makes us different

DFM review before anything runs.

Every drawing reviewed before sourcing. Rework in Inconel costs ten times what it costs in aluminum.

One contact. Full accountability.

One PM from first drawing review through final delivery. No handoffs. No surprises.

Parts inspected before shipment.

Full traceability on every part. Chain of custody from raw stock through outgoing inspection.

The right shop, not the cheapest quote.

Every supplier qualified against AS9100 requirements. Machinists selected for experience in hard material.
