Fusion hardware in tungsten, copper, and Inconel.

Vacuum vessel components, magnet supports, plasma-facing parts and diagnostic hardware for fusion programs. Our vetted vendor network machines tungsten, oxygen-free copper and Inconel to ±0.001″. Technical data is handled under NIST 800-171 compliant controls, and one project manager stays with your program throughout.

How we review it

Your project manager and a technical lead review every print within 24 hours. For fusion hardware we confirm material grades and vacuum-service finishes, flag features that tungsten or copper make risky, and route the job only to shops with a track record in that material.

Before it’s built

Fusion programs ask for materials most shops avoid. Tungsten is brittle at room temperature and copper is gummy and burr-prone, so we check edge breaks, wall thickness and finish callouts against what the material will tolerate, and confirm cleaning and handling for vacuum service before the quote goes out.

Fusion hardware questions

Yes. Shops in our vetted network machine tungsten and tungsten alloys, C101 and C110 copper, Inconel 625 and 718, and 316L stainless. Tungsten is brittle and copper is burr-prone, so fusion work only goes to shops with a track record in that material.

±0.001″ is routine on critical features. For anything tighter, send your print and we’ll confirm feasibility during drawing review before we quote.

Yes. We confirm vacuum-service finishes, cleaning and handling at quote, and flag any callout the material or process can’t support. List your cleanliness and packaging requirements with the RFQ so they’re priced from the start.

Precision Expedited is NIST 800-171 compliant and ITAR registered. Drawings and models are handled under documented access controls from RFQ to delivery, and export-controlled work goes only to vetted domestic shops.

Yes. Many fusion programs start with a single part for a test stand. The same project manager carries the job through repeat builds, and we flag features that get expensive as quantities grow.

A STEP file and 2D print, material and finish, quantities and timing, and material grade, vacuum or cryogenic service requirements, and any documentation your program needs. Missing something? Send what you have and we’ll ask for the rest.

What makes us different

DFM review before anything runs.

Every drawing reviewed before sourcing. Rework in Inconel costs ten times what it costs in aluminum.

One contact. Full accountability.

One PM from first drawing review through final delivery. No handoffs. No surprises.

Parts inspected before shipment.

Full traceability on every part. Chain of custody from raw stock through outgoing inspection.

The right shop, not the cheapest quote.

Every supplier qualified against AS9100 requirements. Machinists selected for experience in hard material.
